Ο Κάλαμος βρίσκεται στα ανατολικές ακτές του νησιού , και τα παράλια του Αιγαίου πελάγους .

Kalamos in Evia Island Greece

We invite you to Evia and specifically to a coastal area called Kalamos. Kalamos is located on the eastern coast of the island, and the Aegean Sea. It is known in the area for its large pebble beach and crystal clear waters, which is divided into 2 beaches (the good and the bad for the locals) and a rock in the middle known for its shape as a bridge, which does not allow anyone on one beach to have visual contact with the other. Kаlamos is а blue cоve on thе east сοast оf Eviа, closе tο Agii Аpοstoli. It is chаractеrized by thе weird roсκ formаtiοn with a big hоle which dividеs the beаch in two pаrts.

In the summеr the north pаrt οf Kаlamos is оrganized bу a cоuple of bеach tаvernas аnd almost fullу οcсupied by sunbеds and parаsοls. Thе sand is mixеd with small pebblеs, the watеr is blue and trаnsparent аnd the plaсe cаn get quite busу in July and Аugust. Thе sοuth part оf the beаch has nо facilitiеs.
 

How to Reach

The wide area of Kalamos is located very close to Athens and it has an easy access. It is a 2 – 2.5 hours drive.

There are two possible ways to get there from Athens:
 Total Road way

Use the National Road of Athens – Lamia and take the exit for Chalkis. Reaching the high bridge at Chalkis town follow the way for South Evia & Kimi. After you reach the Aliveri town and 20 minutes driving follow the exit at Neochori village to Kalamos.The total route is about 150 km.
Use the Ferry Boat

Use the National Road of Athens – Lamia and take the exit for Oropos / Eretria . Your reach at Oropos port, take the ferry boat and after 30 minutes you are in Eretria port. After you reach the Aliveri town and 20 minutes driving follow the exit at Neochori village to Kalamos. The total route is about 85 km.

The ferries timetable is daily:

• every half hour from June to October

We recommend you try the braised veal, the braised soutzoukia, the pastitsio, the moussaka, the fragrant stuffed meatballs, the traditional fried bread and other delicious dishes made with passion. You will also find fresh fish, grilled meats, and seafood. 

On the beach, our Tavern has umbrellas and sun loungers where you can relax drinking your coffee or your drink while looking at the blue Aegean Sea and your children playing carefree.

Πού θα έρθετε και πώς θα έρθετε..

Ο Κάλαμος βρίσκεται στα ανατολικές ακτές του νησιού , και τα παράλια του Αιγαίου πελάγους .
Είναι γνωστός στην περιοχή από την μεγάλη παραλία με βοτσαλάκι και τα πεντακάθαρα νερά του και η οποία χωρίζεται σε 2 ακτές ( την καλή και την κακιά για τους ντόπιους)και από ένα βράχο στο μέσο της γνωστό λόγω του σχήματος του ως γέφυρα , ο οποίος δεν επιτρέπει σε όποιον είναι στην μια παραλία να έχει οπτική επαφή με την άλλη .
Για να φτάσετε στο Κάλαμο από την Αθήνα θα οδηγήσετε λίγο παραπάνω από 2 ώρες ακολουθώντας το δρόμο προς Χαλκίδα μέσω της υψηλής γέφυρας και έπειτα προς το Αλιβέρι και στην συνέχεια προς Κύμη .Στο Νεοχώρι υπάρχουν ταμπέλες που θα σας οδηγήσουν στο προορισμό σας σε 15 λεπτά

Where will you come and how will you come.

Kalamos is located on the eastern coast of the Evia island, and the Aegean Sea. It is known in the area for its long pebble beach and crystal clear waters, which is divided into 2 beaches (the good and the bad for the locals) and a rock in the middle known for its shape as a bridge, which does not allow anyone on one beach to have visual contact with the other. To reach Kalamos from Athens you will drive a little over 2 hours following the road to Chalkida via the high bridge and then to Aliveri and then to Kymi. In Neochori there are signs that will lead you to your destination in 15 minutes.
